Rainbow Rails

 

Never made a quilt before? You CAN make this one!  Basic rotary cutting, strip piecing, and straight stitching will be used.  We’ve picked fabric combinations so you may just choose the combination you like or make your own choices.  Make a small quilt with 6 fat quarters or use larger cuts of fabric and make a large lap quilt or even a queen size quilt.

Block Party

 

 

Each month learn how to make a different block and sew as you learn.  Choose your fabrics in advance and we will have a kit ready for you each month.  By the end of the year you will have blocks for a sampler.  Bring your machine or use one of ours.

Stack ‘n Whack

 

Magic is what it will seem like when you make your Stack ‘n Whack quilt.  Use one fabric, rotary cutting and shazaam a truly dazzling quilt with rotating shapes and colors.

When you make the previous month’s Gardener’s Journal block and bring it to show ‘n tell, you can buy the new kit (fabric for 2 blocks) for $2.  Enter the second block (from the previous month’s kit) in the exchange and you have a chance to win all the exchange blocks for the month.

Join a monthly club!  Learn new skills, complete a project by the end of the year, meet quilting friends on a regular basis, or just give yourself a chance to be creative.

 

Thimbleberries Club

 

Annual Fee:  $20

Monthly Meeting – 2nd week each month

Times:         Thursday  6:30 – 7:30 pm

Friday  10:30 – 11:30 am

January meetings:  Thursday, Jan. 13 or Friday, Jan. 14

 

Each month a new block is demonstrated from one of the two ‘Circle of Love’ projects designed by Lynette Jensen.  Receive exclusive member only patterns, a newsletter from Thimbleberries, demonstration of monthly block, and door prizes.  Our classroom will be available after club meetings to sew your new block.  Club meetings will include ideas for other uses of the monthly block and various Thimbleberry projects.

 

Maximum: 15 members.

Minimum 5 club members for each meeting time.

Meetings will include a demonstration of the monthly Garden Glories Block.  Purchase a kit ($8) to make 2 blocks.  Bring the first block back to the next meeting for show & tell (you keep the block) and receive your next 2-block kit for $2.  Turn in the exchange (2nd) block and you are eligible for a drawing to win all exchange blocks for the month.  Our classroom will be available to club members for sewing after club meeting.  Check for scheduled classes if you plan to stay and sew.
